O.K., last week I had all of you pretty worked up about Doppelgängers…are you ready for some more scary paranormal info’?

LOL, well, ready or not… here it comes!

I think most of you have heard about Succubus’ and Incubus’ but for those few who don’t, let this picture give you an idea.

And if this doesn’t do it, my ENCARTA WORLD ENGLISH DICTIONARY SAYS:

SUCCUBUS: A woman demon that was believed in medieval times to have sexual intercourse with men while they were asleep. “One who lies under another”.

INCUBUS: Male demon having sex with women a male demon that was believed in medieval times to have sexual intercourse with women while they were asleep.

Why is it we believed in Succubus’ and Incubus’ during the medieval times, but you don’t hear it mentioned to often in modern days? Has the ethereal world tired of us physical beings? Or have we closed our minds so much, we physical beings just can’t reach into our spiritual world any longer?

I remember reading about Finn MacCool, King Author (some believe he was real) as well as other “Braveheart(s)” of that time. Wo/Man appeared to be more aware of our parallel realties…more knowledgeable about how our two worlds ~ one physical and one spiritual ~ worked together…like our moon. Each of our realities stand alone like a full moon and a new moon; independent but never separate. While at times we see only the new moon or the full moon…yet each moon is still connected to the other. Each moon still affects the other, because they are one. Just like our physical and spiritual worlds.

Yet modern man seems to have lost the connection.

Has the modern world brought us to believe we are only a full moon existence? Denying the new moon’s reality; a physical world that denies the reality of our spiritual world that drives us and all we are, just as much as our material world?

Where the incubus and succubus really evil spirits…demons? Or because of the times (of repressed sexually desires and needs) were the demons created out of need; merging the spiritual beings with the physical counterparts to help the humans deal with their denied and repressed needs?

Were the incubus and succubus called “demons” just to protect the humans from prosecution by the church? If the human’s were seen as helpless victims to evil spirits no human or church could hold them responsible for the unapproved sexual act. Is that why today, in this sexually aware world, we rarely hear about succubus’ and incubus’? There is no need of them in this sexual times of modern wo/man?

Research shows that our spiritual and physical worlds once work hand and hand in the human’s belief system. Like the phases of the moon during the Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous to the Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter and the Waning Crescent…man saw both side of the moon and both realities to our worlds. Being more aware than wo/man is today on how both our parallel worlds worked. How did we lost touch with the other side, and why? And what has this lost cost us as humans?

It is said wo/man (like Merlin and other druids) talk with the other side and took guidance from the other side while they were in a physical body in the physical world…that’s how they did the “Magic” that was done. They knew how to merge both realities….does this mean they were wiser beings? Records show they were…history that is taught in schools we know is not our true history but slanted accounts each govern continent decides to tell.

Now, me question…are the succubus and incubus real, and if so has anyone today ever had an experience with them?

Can't speak to the demon part of it, but I have "been there, done that"; "It" lived in the center of the third floor of my dorm, and took a walk to my end of the building a few times. No seduction. Not so fun.

Some one recently said when ethereal entities realize they can be sensed and seen they become excited. Well this sure did.

Also consider out of body experiences which may account for some of the experiences.

Very good points you made! I know in an OBE (Out of Body Experience) The one projecting isn't able to touch you and make anything physically happen, BUT in a remote viewing the viewer can indeed touch a physical person and have that person feel the pinch; even bruse them if the Rv'ER pinches too hard.

Usually OBE's aren't interested in sex with a physical person because they do have physical bodies of their own and can have sex in the physical...same with Rv'ERs...

Now those who want sex with a physical person are those spirits (incubus succubus) that long for the physical experience. I heard they can be kind and gentle or demanding....almost like a rape.

I had a ghost living in this house...he did become more active when he discovered I could see him...he even went on vacation with me to visit me twin...he stayed an extra two weeks there...he did return though and hung around for about a month...and I haven't heard from him since. Guess he decided to move on...find a real physical life to enter and experience "LIFE" in the physical reality of our beingness.

I'm so glad you commented...I enjoyed reading your take on the situation!

Come on back and comment again when the spirit moves you!

An incubus may pursue sexual relations with a woman in order to father a child, as in the legend of Merlin. Some sources indicate that it may be identified by its unnaturally large or cold penis!

The word is derived from Late Latin succuba, "strumpet."

According to the Malleus Maleficarum, or "Witches' Hammer", written by Heinrich Kramer in 1486, a succubus collects semen from the men she seduces. The incubi or male demons then use the semen to impregnate human females, thus explaining how they are able to cause reproduction.
Apart from that I`m not sure I really know that much about them!

I was once stationed in Aruba, and found myself becoming increasingly tired and worn out, resulting in becoming ill.

I was later told that the lady I was, shall we say, enamoured of, was not of this world! I sould say not! Remember it well! Sorry I digress.

But suffice to say, that is what they do,repeated sexual intercourse with either, Incubi/Succubi, can cause you to become very ill!!!!

Hm, I would say that it came from those repressed feelings they had about sex during that period of time.

You always find the most interesting things to talk about :)

Houston A.W. Knight said...

WOW! I didn't know this about them. This was interesting...Thanks for sharing that...I just might come up with a romance novel on this one!

So you had your own personal succubus, did ya'...glad to hear you got out alive from that experence....even if it was by the skin of your teeth....scary!

I wonder what makes them pick one human over another...DNA?

The following are writings from the Dead Sea Scrolls:

With particular reference to "Lilith," who was or is, a Succubus! Fantastic stuff, of all the Succubi, she could or did not have children.
The first text is from the Book of Proverbs. The second from Qumran.

Her house sinks down to death,
And her course leads to the shades.
All who go to her cannot return
And find again the paths of life.
— Proverbs 2:18-19

Her gates are gates of death, and from the entrance of the house
She sets out towards Sheol.
None of those who enter there will ever return,
And all who possess her will descend to the Pit.
— 4Q184
Pretty well covers it all! She was a awfully bad type, prone to eating children and other naughty carryings on!

In Jewish folkore Lilith is the name of Adam's first wife, who was created at the same time as Adam. She left Adam and refused to return to the Garden of Eden after she mated with archangel Samael. Her story was greatly developed, during the Middle Ages, in the tradition of Aggadic midrashim, the Zohar and Jewish mysticism.

In some modern views Lilith was a mother goddess demonized by Semitic religions and now recaptured as a feminist icon.

Thought I`d just mention that.

So there we are. Hpe I was able to help.
Lots of Kisses!!!!

Now this has been a very interesting chat. Hummm, I'll have to go read the complete passages you mentioned...I have both the Christian Bible and a Jehovah's Witness one to read from...both are pretty much the same except one says GOD and the other says Jehovah.

So, now tell me were wrapped in the arms of a succubus while in Aruba...and her path leds to death in the did you escape?

Houston A.W. Knight said...

OMGosh, long time no hear!

How are you?

What you say about the myth of vampires and succubus' and incubus' kind of makes sense - since they seem to suck your energy...instead of blood...but from what Chey said...they can kill you that's as good as draining your blood from you.

Glad you're back!

Interesting post, Hawk. I reckon it's hokum - born from the shame of indulging in solo, sinful pleasures.

If 'don't do that - you'll go blind,' was the warning, then Succubus and Incubus were the morning after pill - a mystical excuse for any frustrated priest, maiden, or lady of refinement to explain the damp patch on their bed linen.

True, we never hear of them anymore. Because we live in more enlightened times. Incubus is still out there, only these days he goes by the name of Rampant Rabbit.

Her name was Lamia. I met her one night, at an old Aruban grave yard. I was visiting, as a relation died off the coast in the 19 the Century, he was buried in the cemetery. Anyway, I had been with her for around a week, but she always wanted to meet me at the graveyard, I didnt really pay attention to this fact, mainly due to the fact that I was in lust at the time.
However, as time progressed, and I became very lethargic and tired, I wasnt aware of the physical changes to my body, but an old lady who served breakfast at the hotel noticed.
She asked me where I went at night, I casually told her the tale. She was mortified! Then asked me, " Has she spoken to you at all?" I replied,"Well not, not really, now I come to think of it, no, she hasnt!"

The old lady then said,"If she cant talk, she is a Succubus! Are you meeting her tonight?" I was flabbergasted, in fact me gasted, had never been so flabbered!

"How do you know her name?" I replied, "Well, it was on her necklace! Her name is Lamia!" The old lady grabbed both my arms and said,"This you must do! When you approach her tonight, ask her a question, any question! She will not answer because she cant, as she has the tongue of a snake!Ask her!"

I left and went to the cemetery, as dusk fell, I immediately piched it up. I saw her across the crowded tombstones, she was beautiful! Golden hair, pale faced and ruby lips. I called to her, and shouted, "What time is it?" She didnt answer, I asked it again, but there was no reply. I pointed to her, and said, "tell me your name!" There was no reply, instead, she shook her hair, and opened her mouth, I then saw her tongue, it was forked! I ran, ran for my life! I was lucky, very lucky, the only trouble is, I have an unhealthy interest in graveyards!

(A Lamia, is a Succubus, in old English Folklore)

My instant thought was that incubus and succubus were cover ups for major wet dreams and then I read the above LOL I'm sorry i haven't been by more often hon, I spread myself a bit thin this last months and I seriously need to do some e-mail catching up with various peeps. After this week everything slows down and I can be social again the way I wanted. You were never far away from my thoughts though and missed chatting with ya (((hugs))) So you'll be hearing from me somewhere next week!!!

Helter Skelter is banned in our house when I am around. It messes with my brain and my biorhythms. Likewise, while I recognize the poetry in the words of Pink Floyd's songs, I cannot listen to it as music. The albums (yes I am that old) are some of my husband's favorites, yet I get really messed up for days when I listen to them. Even went to a concert on two different occasions...messed up for nearly a week.

We have a very eclectic mix of music in our house, yet some things, my husband knows, I just cannot handle. What is one more quirk?...

LOL, (hugs) Lori!

This is what I love about you! We think so much alike!
