What Is Your Dream?

If I could wave a magic wand and make your dream come true…what would it be that dream?

Would it be finding the perfect mate.
Maybe you’ve already got that…if you do…don’t get greedy here! ;-)

Mayhaps, it’s the perfect vacation you desire.

Or a dream of living in a perfect world.

Could it be having the perfect figure?

Then again…maybe your dreams are more soul searching…perhaps you’re looking for an inner growth, more of a personal journey…getting to know yourself and becoming a better person. A happier person.

Is it owning your own home?

Or having a healthy child?

What is your dream?

Just wondering.

Hmmm, my dream? It's a fairly simple, multi-part dream:

1. Finish writing That Book™
2. Book becomes a best-seller
3. They make a movie out of it.
4. I become a brazillionaire
5. I give all the money away to people who really need it.
6. I get a Wikipedia page.

How's that?

I'm just thankful I've reached the age of contentment... how's that for an uninspiring reply... grins.

Get a nice job, live a good life.

Hi Hawk,

My dreams change over the year. A few years ago my dream would have been to take a nice long vacation to Europe, mostly Scotland and England. That is still a dream, will always be a dream. But now my dream is to succeed in school, to better myself and my family financially. Maybe that's more of a goal than a dream. It's what I want as my prize that is my dream...when I finish school I want one of those new Cameros! I love them!! And someday I will have one! And then perhaps my European vacation :D.

Ellen Brickley said...

My dream? To be happy! I'm not too fussed about what gets me there :)

I *suspect* that what will get me there is love, writing and getting published, having good friends, and lots of travel. I want to see America, and Asia, and Africa and Australia and all the bits of Europe I haven't seen yet.

Hawk, Blodeuedd - I hope you guys make it to Ireland someday. It's right here waiting for you! If you ever need some help with planning or some on-the-ground tips, you can just ask!

Houston A.W. Knight said...

Ellen!

OMG...I've been thinking of you...glad you stopped in honey!

Ah, thank you for those beautiful words and I'm hoping to make it to Ireland before I die...one way or the other!

Honey if you make it to America before I get to Ireland...you've got to stay with me for a visit...if one of your stops is Florida!

I like the fact you just asked for happiness...I like that dream....and I hope you find that happiness in your life.

very big hugs!

Hi Hawk

My dreams??? Peace and happiness for my family and friends mostly... oh, but I'd take one of most camaros that AmyC's talking about too, lol.

As one of seven children, I learned long ago that having isn't always as good as wishing. Dreams offer the ultimate fantasy, having offers reality, seldom as good as the dream. (but not always, lol!)

Dottie :)

Cecile! (((HUGS)))

Now you're dream...I know the Gods will answer it for you honey...just remember, the Gods are slow...they don't work on the same time table as we do...but just remember....better late than never...it will come

big hugs

You're a sweetheart you are, but you can't go taking Amy's Camaro! ;-)

Goodness, I'm not even sure if the Gods offer cars, but these days who knows, everything is possible! ;-)

If I could wave a wand, my dream would be a wolf/coyote shifter. Yeah, strange I know, but as of late it helps channel the emotions better and I love caring for animals. =)

Or that of a mermaid. That one was since reading Hans Christian Anderson's Little Mermaid as a child.

Being able to live in the ocean...amazing.

Let me go for the obvious and say, be a good enough writer to have a fairly liked published book...
and to have a really really big house and the means to, ahem, keep it and maintain it, so I can finally have my own animal shelter :D

oh and go back in time and stop Chavez's mom from having sex so she doesn't get pregnant and Chavez is never born. (for those who are wondering, he's the president of Venezuela)

Hawk, I will pm you soon! :D Maybe later tonight. Hugs!

1. Feel comfortable in my own skin...(which means body finally cooperates in diet and exercise plan and sheds some pounds)

2. Sell a book manuscript. (See number three.)

3. Travel to England to visit 90 year old grandparents to celebrate number two. (Do I need to say why?)

A man called Valance said...

Hello Hawk. I'm like Valerie. Put me down as contented too, though I did like Anonymous's dream, and Hilda's comment about going back in time had me thinking what fun that could be. Course I'd only go back if I could take a lifetimes knowledge and experience with me. I'd know which girls to chase and which girls to stay away from... and which horses to bet on in the big races, and tip off as many friends and deserving people as I could... and warn the world about all the bad things, before they happened. Yup, great fun, with the chance of being a guardian angel too.

Houston A.W. Knight said...

Valance!

Leave it to you to put all the dreams together and make them into one big dream....that we all can enjoy!

I'm down with that!

Hugs
Hawk

A man called Valance said...

Be a lot of fun, wouldn't it? Now, as you haven't answered your own question yet I'm gonna throw it right back at you. Just supposing you could go back to being a little girl growing up again, with the knowledge and experience you have now... would you put every cent you had on Ali regaining the world heavyweight title? Would you confiscate Ted Kennedy's driving license? Would you tell Michael Jackson to get a new doctor? What would you do?

Bernie said...

Oh Hawk I love your blog and I have enjoyed this post...If I could have my dream come true I really don't think my life would be much different but I would love to see all my blog friends who have cancer be healed.
I mixed your name up with another blog friend who writes western stories, I am sorry. I do try and love keeping up with everyone. Have a great week.....:-)Hugs

Kracken said...

What about being able to go wherever you want instantly, and once you get there, your able to help as many people as you can, until you decide you want to go to the next place and back again.

Ya know...you just blink and there you are working in an orphanage in Rwanda...blink your in Springdale, Ark. helping build a Habitat for Humanity House...blink your in some snow covered place in Russia and have a really warm fuzzy coat for the little girl whose parents couldn't afford it...blink your at the hospital sitting with a lady in the ER who is scared and doesn't have anyone to be there with her.

I have lots of dreams this is just one! I think everyone has great ideas!

What is the difference between a dream and a wish? Are they the same?

Houston A.W. Knight said...

Valance!

You little devil...now you know I never answer me own questions...but I'll give you this one..."What would I do?"

Yes, I would go back and try to change some people's lives...help them find their path to happiness if I could.

I'd waves that magic wand and make everyone HAPPY...happiness is so hard to find for most, because they're looking for it "around" them instead of "in" them...

Happiness and Peace are in our souls...

Hugs
Hawk

Houston A.W. Knight said...

Krachen,

I like that blinking in and out idea! ;-) sign me up for that!

Hummm, is a dream the same as a wish....to me, ya' can't have a dream without first having the wish, can ya' now?

;-)
Big hug
Hawk

Houston A.W. Knight said...

Bernie...

LOL, now tell me lass... how do you mix a name like "Hawk" up with someone else? Is it THAT common of a name?

Oh, alright...I'll forgive the mix up...this time...but you be careful or I'll put Cecile on your toes if it happens again!
;-D

LOL, just kidding with you hon...mix me up - stir me around - as long as you don't forget to drop by and let me know how you're doing.

big hugs
HAWK

P.S. Chyenne...leave this tempting statement alone! ROTFLOL ... you too Valance! I know one of you boys won't be able to resist!

A man called Valance said...

For once, I'll resist.

'A dream is a wish your heart makes.' That's what Shelley Fabares sang anyway.

Enjoyed this Hawk, all good posts, and all good fun - though I'll admit some are much nobler than others.

Still thinking of the fun I'd have...

'Elvis, lay of the drugs and the peanut butter sandwiches, or your next hit will be the bathroom floor.'

'Monica, don't do it honey, it ain't worth it. You'll be biting off more than you can chew'

Don't you just love grandparents...

A man called Valance said...

No, I got no more. I tried thinking of some, but I couldn't get past the serious stuff, like stopping the Challenger space shuttle taking off, and loading those about-to-be hijacked planes with armed-to-the-teeth army personnel on 9/11. Wish I could have got that creep outside the Dakota building too, before he got to John Lennon.

Hope you don't mind me dropping in, Miss Hawk. The cowboy picked up on one of me threads saying you had done summit similar, so I came for a wee shufty. Much better, here, and with pictures, too!

I gotta say your pages are mighty appealing with those bare chested hunks. I'll pop those in me re-useable carrier and save them for some dreaming later ; )
