What If Our World Were Reversed?

When I saw this picture it got me brain to thinking...I know, I know...that's dangerous. I started to wonder if man would be soooo cocky if he were not at the top of the food chain.

What if....we were smaller than a tiny sparrow? Would we have polluted our world as we've done? What would it feel like to become the prey instead of the hunter? I think most women can answer that one already...Would we as a race be kinder, more respectful to all things on this Earth?

I don't know. You tell me. Would we survive at the lower end of the food chain?

Just wondering

Interesting, I think we would be more respectful and in tune with nature, we had to be. But of course we would also had to be clever and know how to hide since a lot of animals would love to snack on us.

Pst, Hawk, I am just to so happy to know why I have felt like hell for 6 painful days :) Gonna get some medicine today, yay. Nothing dangerous, well could have been, but I honestly think my home made remedies prevented that

Ya humans are the most helpless creatures on the planet when it comes to using our instincts. The only sense that puts on an even playing field with our fellow earthmates is our brains. I would like to see just one hr of being the smallest species. How many of us would make it out alive?

I don't know Hawk. Given our thought processes, I'm thinking humans would find a way to equalize things.

Blod, glad you found out what was wrong. Hope the meds kick in quickly and you're back to your normal sassy self in no time. :-)

Well, I reckon while Sia was figuring out a way of equalizing things, I'd be playing safe and hiding behind her back. Especially if that cat was prowling around, licking its lips.

That picture totally creeps me out.lol.I don't know why.

I think you would always adapt to your environment, your survival instincts would always kick in no matter what species you are.

If I were at the bottom of the food chain, I'd rethink my position and make myself scarce and hard to find and hope that I would live a good long life, that is, until somebody or something stepped on me. OUCH!

Hugs Sweetie welcome back!

LOL...smallest species...I don't think many would come out alive...man isn't as creative or instinctual as he use to be.

Men of the past were more in tune with nature and the reality of of our worlds.

But...it would be interesting to see what man did and see how those that did survive did it.

I've always fantasized about living as a gnome, or a human about the size of a rabbit or cat---so I firmly believe that we, as a species, would survive, but Darwinian selection would have more impact, and the species would soon lose the dumb ones from our gene pool---and we'd eventually end up as the dominant species on the planet---but hopefully with a better appreciation FOR our planet!!!

Suzy,

You make a very good point, one I will have to agree with for sure!

Awesome comment, you should join in more often! So glad you did today!

Well done, Miss Knight. It makes my blood boil when some consider mankind to be the superior species!

J.J.,

I'm with you...man is far from being the wisest on this earth...believe it or not, Dr. John Lily proved dolphins are the smartest beings that we've discovered so far.

Back in the late 70's Lily's studies on dolphins had to be put on hold because our COMPUTERS could not keep up with the dolphins...in so many words the dolphins told him when our computer becames more advanced they'd be back to finish the research with him...

Interesting fact...Lily never had to capture a dolphin for this research...the dolphins would volunteer their time - some staying for months others only days...

Did you know Dolphins use more of their brains mass than humans? That right there says they're smarter.

Hey Hawk

This brings to mind the Borrowers... a tiny race of humanoid critters who live off leavings of the humans, sometimes, a temporary use, but most times, permanent. A thimble becomes a stool, a spool of thread, a table, mice for piggyback rides... wouldn't this be the same? I'd like to say we'd become a better people, but the human condition screams to want more, and until we have to life on what others leave behind, I guess we'll never know.

Dottie,

Interesting, Borrowers....
so are they like faeries?

Are these Borrowers an American myth? I didn't grow up here in America so I've never heard of them.

Tell me more...I'm fascinated!
