Life Is Like A Porcupine

My friend Adele sent me this cute little tike. With him came this 'Fable of the Porcupine' I thought I'd share it with all of you!

Fable of the Porcupine

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died

because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the

situation, decided to group together. This way,

they covered and protected themselves; but, the

quills of each one wounded their closest companions

even though they gave off heat to each other.

After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one

from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen.

So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of

their companions or disappear from the Earth.

Wisely, they decided to go back to being together.

This way they learned to live with the little wounds

that were caused by the close relationship with

their companion, but the most important

part of it, was the heat that came from the

others. This way they were able to survive.

Therefore:

The best relationship is not the one that brings

together perfect people, but the best is

when each individual learns to live with

the imperfections of others and can admire

the other person's good qualities.

The Moral of the story!

LEARN TO LOVE THE PRICKS IN YOUR LIFE.

Words of wisdom...don't you think?

Hey Sweet Sia!

I loved the story...it did give a very good moral...

today, too many walk away instead of working on a situation....they fight to hurt the other and to be right, instead of solving the problem.

These little tikes are so cute aren't they?

Are you sure they're not kangaroos? Like at the size of those feet, aww-ww. I will now relate an uncouth porcupine joke. No, on second thought, it would be just too dirty for the ladies, but it does use the word "pricks" in it.

Great story. And I never realized porcupines could be so CUTE!

'Valance! Critter soup? YOU wouldn't!'

S'ok, I'm only kidding. I wouldn't.

BTW - congratulations on your full frontal males. Even Cecile ain't managed that.

Valance,

Well, I'm keeping me eye on these little critters, 'cuz I ain't so sure you mean that...and with these cold days making soup could be way too tempting for you!

Thank you for the vote of confidence on the full frontal...but it all goes to Elaine...that's her day not mine.
I'm just a reader of blogs that day...even here on me own blog.

My girl Elaine is a spicy one, she is. She puts up good looking eye candy and I put up Porcupines....

big hugs to you - you devil of a man!

Aint that the truth. Not sure if it's good or bad, but got rid of the pricks in me life.

Could be. I ain't getting fed on The Porch lately, and a man's gotta eat something. And those little critters come with toothpicks supplied.

Well if it ain't stated...

'My girl Elaine is a spicy one, she is. She puts up good looking eye candy and I put up Porcupines....'

OK, they're Elaine's full frontals.

(JJ, you gotta wonderful way with words.)

Valance I'm warning you...I see you chewing on any "natural" toothpicks I'm coming after you!

Houston A.W. Knight said...

Valance,

I don't know what it is about you Cowboy...but you always sweet talk me into things.

O.K., I'll feed you and kissing the cook is always welcome! ;-)
